Accessibility
We want ScoutTide to be usable by everyone who needs it for their work, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard only, zoom or high contrast.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We have not yet had the service audited against them, so we do not claim that it conforms.
What we know is not right yet
- Some menus and dialogs may not yet move keyboard focus or announce themselves to screen readers as they should.
- Some text on tinted backgrounds, and some small labels, may fall below the required colour contrast, particularly in the dark theme.
- Animated elements on the home page respect your system's reduced-motion setting, but not every animation in the application may do so yet.
- Tender notices and documents come from their publishers, and we cannot make the original documents accessible.
We fix these as part of our normal work, and new pages are built to the target above.
