Cookies
The short version
ScoutTide uses only what it needs to work: a cookie that keeps you signed in, and a few that remember your language, your time zone and how many rows a list shows. There is no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)) and the UK PECR, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you asked for do not need your consent, only your being told. That is why the notice on your first visit has an OK button and no Accept or Reject: there is nothing optional to switch on or off. If we ever add something optional, it will stay off until you agree to it.

Third parties
- Paddle: Our merchant of record. On the Billing page only, Paddle's checkout loads from Paddle and may set cookies needed to take a payment securely and prevent fraud. Nothing from Paddle loads on any other page. Details: Paddle's privacy notice
- Sign-in providers (Google and any other listed on the sign-in page): when you choose one, it may set its own cookies on its own domain during sign-in, under its own policy. We cannot read them.
Controlling them
You can delete or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in; everything else keeps working without the others, it just no longer remembers your choices.
