ScoutTide

Tender Impulse and ScoutTide: an honest comparison

Tender Impulse is a tender alert service with account managers who obtain bid documents and help write bids. ScoutTide is software you try yourself, matching tenders and social posts to what you sell. Here is how to choose.

Short answer

Which one fits you

  • Choose Tender Impulse if you want documents and bids handled for you. It obtains bid documents on your behalf and offers bid writing in English with 24 hour support. ScoutTide does neither.
  • Choose Tender Impulse if you prefer one yearly payment. Its subscription is paid once for at least 12 months and does not renew unless you agree to it.
  • Choose ScoutTide if you want to try it yourself first. Start a free trial without a call, see your own matches the next morning, then pay monthly or yearly. Tender Impulse says it no longer offers a self-serve trial.

Differences

What each does that the other does not

Going by each product’s own website as of October 2026.

Only Tender Impulse

  • Bid documents obtained for you. It says it can procure the complete bidding documents for the tenders on its website, or point you to the authority where they are published.
  • Bid writing and consultation. Professional bid writing in English, with yearly assistance and 24 hour support.
  • Translation and SMS alerts. Translation services within the subscription, and an SMS for tenders that exactly match your criteria.

Only ScoutTide

  • A trial you start yourself. No demo to book: sign up, describe what you sell and read your first ranked list the next morning.
  • Monthly or yearly, cancel anytime. No minimum term. Prices are on the plans page and you buy online.
  • Social leads in the same list. Posts from Reddit, Hacker News, Stack Exchange, forums and web searches, read against the same description as your tenders.
Honest limits

What ScoutTide does not do

  • No bid service. ScoutTide is software. It finds and ranks tenders and links each one to its official page, but nobody obtains documents, writes proposals or submits bids for you.
  • Not every portal. Some portals need a login, block automated reading or sit behind a captcha, and many local buyers publish only on their own sites. Check the sources page for the countries you bid in before you rely on it.
  • No instant alerts. You get one ranked list a day, ready each morning, not a message the minute a notice appears.
