The open tenders ScoutTide has collected in agriculture come from official procurement portals in 106 countries, and 4,036 were open as of 26 October 2026. That figure counts the notices ScoutTide has gathered from those portals, not the size of any market, and it changes daily as notices are published and deadlines pass. For a supplier of agricultural goods or services, the useful question is not how large the sector is but where the notices are open right now, who is buying, what values the notices state and how much time is left to respond.

Where the demand is

The countries with the most open agriculture tenders are led by Brazil and Ukraine, each with 290 open tenders in the data as of 26 October 2026. The Philippines follows with 288, Poland with 266, France with 257, Germany with 252, the United States with 184, Spain with 177, China with 158, Taiwan with 153, Greece with 151, the Netherlands with 112, Kazakhstan with 102, Sweden with 80 and the United Kingdom with 73.

The five countries with the most open tenders together account for 1,391 open tenders, or 34% of the total. The remaining countries in the list each carry fewer notices, but several still sit above one hundred. That spread matters for how a supplier plans: a company selling into a single national market sees a different picture from one that can respond to notices in several countries at once.

You can browse the full ranking on the open agriculture tenders by country page, which lists the countries where notices are open. Individual country pages give a closer view, for example Agriculture tenders in Brazil, Agriculture tenders in Ukraine, Agriculture tenders in the Philippines, Agriculture tenders in Poland and Agriculture tenders in France.

The sources behind these counts are official portals. The largest single source in the data is EU TED with 952 open tenders, followed by Brazil PNCP with 290, Ukraine ProZorro with 289, Philippines PhilGEPS with 274, Germany Vergabe with 198, China Government Procurement (ccgp.gov.cn) with 153, Taiwan PCC e-Procurement with 153 and Greece KIMDIS with 143. EU TED alone accounts for a large share of the notices because it carries tenders from several European countries at once.

The largest buyers

Across the open tenders ScoutTide has collected, 3,070 different buyers have at least one open agriculture tender. The busiest single buyer is DNR, Natural Resources, United States, with 33 open tenders. Next come IHQ of MoD (Army)-(OSCC), India with 29, and REGIA NATIONALA A PADURILOR, ROMSILVA RA, Romania with 29. The 農業部農田水利署 in Taiwan has 22, and the Ministry of Railways, India has 16.

Further down the list, PROVINCE OF ILOILO in the Philippines has 13 open tenders and MUNICIPALITY OF NARVACAN, ILOCOS SUR, also in the Philippines, has 12. Three buyers have 10 each: Centre de services scolaire des Hauts-Bois-de-l'Outaouais in Canada, the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PSPC) in Canada, and the Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), Marketing Division in Bangladesh.

The five busiest buyers together account for 129 open tenders, or 3% of the total. That proportion is worth noting: the largest buyers are not where most of the activity sits. A supplier that watches only the biggest names would see a small slice of the notices, while the long tail of 3,070 buyers carries the rest. Buyers range from national ministries and railway operators to regional forestry bodies, provincial governments, municipal administrations, school service centres and state-owned chemical corporations.

What contracts are worth

Not every notice states a value. As ScoutTide reads the notices, 2,186 of the 4,036 open tenders, or 54%, carry a stated value. The rest do not, and for those the notice gives no figure to work from.

Where values are stated, they appear in several currencies, and the spread within each currency is wide. Among the 572 tenders with values stated in EUR, the median is EUR 179,035, with the middle half of values falling between EUR 21,392 and EUR 764,000. Among the 289 tenders stated in UAH, the median is UAH 258,333, and the middle half sits between UAH 61,025 and UAH 718,825. Among the 260 tenders stated in BRL, the median is BRL 193,181, with the middle half between BRL 71,055 and BRL 475,471.

Reading those ranges together is more useful than reading the medians alone. In each currency, the middle half of stated values spans a wide band, which means notices in the same currency can differ substantially in scale. A supplier should check the stated value on each notice rather than assume a typical size, and should treat a notice with no stated value as one where the scope has to be read from the description.

Deadlines and time to bid

Time is the constraint that shapes most bidding decisions. Of the open tenders with a stated deadline, 1,715 close in under 7 days, 1,924 close in 7 to 29 days, 152 close in 30 to 59 days and 193 in 60 days or more. A further 52 open tenders carry no stated deadline. The median time left until the deadline across the notices is 7 days.

The gap between publication and deadline is also short. The median number of days between a notice first appearing and its deadline is 20. That means a company that reviews opportunities weekly may find that half of the notices it sees have already used up a good part of their window. The 1,524 tenders new in the last 7 days show how quickly the pool turns over, and the 1,721 closing within the next 7 days show how quickly it drains.

For planning, the practical point is that deadlines cluster in the near term. A supplier that can only act on notices with a month or more remaining will be working from a smaller set than the headline count suggests. Checking notices soon after they appear gives more room to prepare a response.

Tracking tenders across countries

Keeping up with 106 countries by hand is not realistic for most suppliers. Portals differ in language, structure and the way notices are published, and each portal publishes its own registration requirements, so anyone intending to bid should check those requirements on the portal itself. ScoutTide collects open tenders from official portals, matches them against what a company sells, sends a daily list of new matches and shows titles in English. That is the whole of what it does.

The counts in this article are as of 26 October 2026 and change daily as new notices appear and deadlines pass. They describe the open tenders ScoutTide has collected, not the total activity of any country or sector.
