Your organisation and products
Add a product
Add one thing you sell, with the phrases and countries that find tenders and social leads for it. ScoutTide scans open tenders as soon as you save.
A product is one thing you sell, with the phrases that find tenders for it. Each product gets its own matches, so add one product per offer rather than one for everything.
Before you start
- Only a manager can add products. On the Individual plan, that is you.
- Your plan sets how many products you can have. The Products heading shows how many you use, for example 2 of 3. See Plans and the free trial.
- Fill in your organisation profile first. The AI reads it together with each product.
Prefer a head start? Find my products reads your website and proposes products for you to check.
Steps
- Open the menu under your initials and choose Organisation, then Products in the settings rail.
- Press + Add a product. If you have no products yet, press Add your first product.
- In Website, paste the page about this product, not your home page. Press Fill from website to draft the name, description, phrases and categories for you to check.
- In Product name, type a short name, as your team calls it.
- In Short description, write one line saying what it is. It shows under the name in your lists.
- Optionally, add a Logo: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 512 kB.
- In About this product, write three to six sentences: what it is, who buys it, what problems it solves and what you do not offer. The AI reads this most when it judges tenders.
- In Phrases, one per line, type the words a matching tender would contain. Any one phrase is enough. See Search phrases.
- Under Categories, tick the tender categories this product belongs to, or leave them all unticked to search every category.
- Under Where do you sell?, choose a Continent or add Countries. Leave both empty if you sell anywhere. See Countries and regions.
- Press Save & rescan.
The live count
Below the form, a count updates as you type: how many open tenders match the product right now, how many nobody has picked up, and how many close within a week. It is the count for what is on screen, not what is saved, so you can try a phrase before you commit to it.
If you see No rule yet. Add a phrase, category, country or continent., the product would match nothing yet.
What happens next
ScoutTide saves the product and rescans the open tenders for it straight away. Its tile on the Products page fills in its counts when the rescan finishes, and the AI then reads the tenders closest to it. A few minutes later, the first matches are in your tender queue.
Each product tile shows how many tenders and social leads the AI matched to it. Open a product to see What this product scans for, and press Sync now to check its tender sources and social lead searches again. You get one extra sync per product per day.
If you click away from the form with unsaved changes, ScoutTide asks first: Save now keeps your work, Leave anyway drops it. Closing the tab or typing another address gets your browser's own warning instead.
If you cannot save
- Give the product a name you will recognise.: the name is empty.
- Add at least one phrase, category, country or continent, otherwise this product would match every open tender.: add something to match on.
- When every product slot on your plan is in use, the form is locked. Retire a product to free a slot, or change plan. See Retire, restore or delete a product.
