Change the language
Use ScoutTide in any of 22 languages, choose one from the globe menu or your Account page, and translate tender text on its own.
ScoutTide's screens are available in 22 languages. You can switch at any time, and your choice is remembered.
Available languages
Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
In the menu, each language is listed in its own name, for example Deutsch or Français. Arabic pages read from right to left.
Which language you see first
On your first visit, ScoutTide uses the first language your browser asks for that it has. If it has none of them, you see English. You do not need to set anything.
Switch language from the header
- Select the globe in the header. It shows the code of the current language, for example en.
- Choose a language from the list.
The page reloads in that language. Your browser remembers the choice for your next visit. When you are signed in, the choice is also saved on your account, so you see the same language on every device.
Set your language on the Account page
- Select your initials in the header and choose Account.
- Under Language, choose a language from the list.
To go back to following your browser, choose Browser language. ScoutTide then uses the language your browser asks for, or English when it does not have that language.
The language setting changes ScoutTide's own words: menus, buttons and labels. It does not change the text of tenders and social leads, which stay as they were published.
Translate a tender
Tenders are published in many languages. You can read one in your own language without changing the rest of ScoutTide.
- Open the tender.
- Next to Translate to, choose the language you want.
- Select Translate.
The translated text appears with the original kept below, so you can always check the wording.
Translation is one of the AI features. If your plan has ended, it pauses until you choose a plan. See Translate and documents for more.
Dates and times
Language and time zone are separate settings. Deadlines and dates follow your time zone, which you set under Time zone on your Account page. See Your account and signing in.
