Quick setup from a tender

Found a tender you like before setting up? Set it up for me fills in your setup from that tender on one screen, for you to check and save.

If you open a tender before your organisation has any products, ScoutTide can set itself up from that tender. You check one screen, save, and tenders like it start arriving.

Who sees the offer

You see the offer when all of these are true:

  • You are signed in.
  • Your organisation has no product saved yet.
  • You manage your organisation's settings. On the Individual plan, that is you.

A team member who does not manage settings sees a line asking them to get their organisation admin to add products instead. Once the first product is saved, the offer disappears for everyone.

Where you find it

The offer appears in three places on a tender's page:

  • A card above the title: "Get tenders like this every morning", with Set it up for me.
  • Inside the popup that opens after Apply and bid now, under "Want more tenders like this?".
  • In the "Added to your pipeline" message that appears after you apply.

All three open the same one-screen setup, filled in from the tender you were reading.

Set it up from a tender

  1. On the tender's page, choose Set it up for me.
  2. The page "Set up your tender search" opens, filled in from the tender. Read the note at the top: it names the tender the draft came from.
  3. Check What you sell. Use a short name, the way a buyer would ask for it.
  4. Check Describe it in a sentence.
  5. Check the Search phrases. ScoutTide looks for these words in tender titles and descriptions, and any one is enough. Type a new one under Add a phrase and choose Add. Choose Remove on any phrase that does not fit.
  6. Check Where you work. Leave it empty to see tenders from every country.
  7. Optionally, open Company details (optional) and fill in About your company and Website. You can also add them later in Settings.
  8. Choose Save and find my tenders.

ScoutTide saves the product and takes you to your tender list. The first matches arrive within a few minutes, then new ones every morning by email.

You need at least one search phrase or one country. If both are empty, the page asks you to add one before it saves.

If you would rather write it yourself

On the card, choose I’ll describe it myself. This opens the full product form, where you set the name, description, phrases and places yourself. See Add a product.

After you save

  • The product you saved works like any other product. Change its phrases or places at any time under Organisation, then Products.
  • Your organisation profile may still be empty. Add your website and press Fill from website to improve your matches. See Your organisation profile.
  • Add more products for other things you sell, each with its own phrases and matches.
