The morning digest

ScoutTide can email you each morning with your deadlines and the new tenders that fit you. Learn what it contains and how to turn it on or off.

The morning digest is a short email from ScoutTide. It tells you which of your tenders close soon and which new tenders arrived for you since the last one. You can act on your queue without opening ScoutTide first.

When it arrives

The digest is sent at 07:00 UTC. Your Account page shows what that is in your own time zone.

It is sent only when there is something to report. A morning with no deadlines and nothing new brings no email.

What it contains

The digest has two parts, in this order:

  1. Your deadlines. Tenders you claimed that close within the next 7 days, soonest first. In a team, the heading reads Yours, closing within 7 days, because it lists only your own claims.
  2. New since your last digest. Tenders that arrived for you since the last email. When there are more than fit, a line such as and 12 more opens the rest in ScoutTide.

Each tender shows its title and how long is left, such as 3 days left or today. A tender with no published deadline says so. The subject line sums it up, for example how many of your tenders close soon and how many are new.

Choose Open ScoutTide at the end of the email to go to your queue.

Your first digest looks back one day, so it lists what arrived in the last 24 hours rather than everything in your queue.

Turn it on or off

  1. Open Account from your user menu.
  2. Find Morning digest.
  3. Choose On or Off.

The page confirms the change, for example The morning digest is off. You can also stop it from the email itself: choose Stop sending these at the bottom.

The digest goes to your account's email address. To change that address, see Account and sign in.

Choose what counts as new

By default, the new section lists tenders matched to your products. To decide for yourself, save a search and include it in your digest:

  1. Filter, sort or search your tender queue the way you like.
  2. Choose Save search and give it a name.
  3. Leave in digest switched on, and choose Save.

Once you have saved searches in your digest, they decide what counts as new for you. New tenders that fit any of them reach your inbox each morning. Switch a saved search in or out of your digest at any time from Saved searches in the left rail.

Searches on the Tender universe stay out of the digest. It lists your matches only. See Tender universe and saved searches.

During your trial

While your organisation is on its free trial, every third morning brings a trial summary in place of the digest. It shows the best matches waiting in your queue and how many trial days are left, and still lists your own deadlines at the top.

Not getting it?

  • Check that Morning digest is On under Account.
  • Check that your organisation has at least one product. With no product there is nothing new to send.
  • Remember it only arrives when there is something to report.
  • Look in your spam or promotions folder, and add ScoutTide to your contacts.
