Social leads

Read a social lead row

What each part of a row on the Social leads tab means, from the community and author to the AI score and what the poster is doing.

Each row on the Social leads tab is one public post. The row is built to answer four questions quickly: where and when was this posted, what does it say, how relevant is it, and is this person looking to buy.

Where and when

The first line of the row is the dateline.

  • Community: where the post lives, for example r/sharepoint for a subreddit, or the forum or site it came from.
  • Age: how long ago it was posted, such as 2h ago. Hover over it to see the full date.
  • Author: the poster's handle, when the site publishes one. Hover over it to see "Who posted it".
  • new: the post reached ScoutTide recently.
  • A translate icon shows when the title was translated from another language. Hover over it to see which.

The community and the age are the two facts that decide whether a post is still worth answering. A fresh question in a busy community is your best chance.

What it says

  • Title: the post's own title.
  • Snippet: the poster's opening words, up to two lines. In a forum post, the first sentence is often the buying signal itself.

How relevant it is

  • matches: followed by a product name: the product the AI read this post as being about. With several products, this tells you whose lead it is.
  • Topic tags: up to two labels the AI read in the post.
  • AI score: the chip on the right, for example AI 82, on a scale of 0 to 100. Hover over it to read the AI's reason. The Best match order sorts by this number.

What the poster is doing

Next to the score, a label says what the AI read the poster to be doing. This is separate from relevance: a post can be about exactly what you sell without anyone wanting to buy.

  • looking for a tool: the poster wants a product or a service. Usually the strongest lead.
  • asking for help: the poster has a problem and wants advice.
  • discussion: a general conversation about the topic.
  • not asking for anything: no request in the post.

You can filter the whole list by this label under What the poster is doing. See Social leads.

Posts the AI has not read

  • Not checked yet: the AI has not checked this post yet. It is listed after the checked posts and left out of the Social leads count.
  • Not AI-checked: today's AI review limit was reached. A later day's reviews will reach it.

Your marks on the row

Small labels show your own history with a post:

  • Viewed: you opened this post. Hover over it to see when.
  • A note or paperclip icon with a number: how many notes or documents you added.
  • You worked on this: you took an action on it.
  • Kept: you chose to keep it on your list.
  • yours: you have claimed it. In a team, a colleague's claim shows their name instead.

The row menu

Open the menu at the end of the row to Claim, Release, Keep, Ignore, mark Not a lead, or Open the original thread. See Keep, Ignore and Not a lead.

Select anywhere else on the row to open the post's own page.
