Working your leads
Claim a lead and use My pipeline
Claim a tender or social lead to move it into My pipeline, track it by closing date, and release it when you no longer need it.
Claiming tells ScoutTide, and your team, that a tender or a social lead is yours to work. A claimed item moves to My pipeline, where you track its stage, notes and deadline in one place.
Claim a tender
- Open the tender from your queue.
- Select Claim this on the tender page.
- A message confirms it: "Claimed. It is in My pipeline now."
You can also claim straight from a list. Open the row menu and choose Claim.
The first time you claim, ScoutTide explains what happens in a short dialog. Select Claim to go ahead, or tick Don't show this again if you do not need the reminder.
In a team, a claim takes the item out of the shared queue so nobody else works it. Your name shows on it for everyone.
Claim a social lead
- Open the Social leads tab.
- Open the row menu on the post and choose Claim, or open the post and select Claim this post.
- Confirm in the dialog: "Claim this? It moves to My pipeline so you can track it. Release it any time."
Apply and bid also adds to your pipeline
When you select Apply and bid now on a tender page, ScoutTide adds the tender to your pipeline so you can track the deadline, notes and stage. You see the message Added to your pipeline. See Apply and bid.
What My pipeline shows
Open My pipeline from the top of the app. The tab shows a count badge with the number of items in it.
- It holds the tenders and the social leads you have claimed.
- Items are listed soonest closing first, so the next deadline is always at the top.
- A line above the list tells you how many of your tenders close within 7 days.
- Each row shows its stage, such as Watching or Bidding.
Once anything is decided, the page splits into two sections:
- Active: work in progress, in the stages New, Watching, Bidding and Submitted.
- Decided: items you marked Won, Lost or Dropped.
Claims on tenders that have already closed are hidden to keep the list to open work. The page says how many are hidden. Select Show closed to see them, and Hide closed to hide them again.
Add a tender you found yourself
If you found a tender outside ScoutTide, select Add your own tender on the pipeline page. It is added and claimed in one step, so it appears in your pipeline straight away.
Release a claim
If you no longer want to work an item, release it.
- Open the tender or post.
- Select Release. In a list, open the row menu and choose Release.
- A message confirms it: "Released. It is unclaimed again."
The item leaves your pipeline. In a team, it goes back to the shared queue so a colleague can pick it up.
In a team, only the person who claimed an item, or a manager, can release it or change its stage.
Team pipeline
On a team plan, managers also see Team pipeline, which lists everything your colleagues have claimed or been assigned. See Assign work and the team pipeline.
